50 Year Past Master Honored by DDGM

The RW DDGM Ken Pfeiffer had the distinct pleasure of awarding Wor. Clark Paige with his 50 year Past Master's diploma on Monday, May 10th.

Wor. Paige was master of Caleb Butler Lodge back in 1960 and continues to be active in the lodge, serving as lodge secretary for many years until just recently when we reliquished that post.

RW Pfeiffer stopped by the lodge unexpectedly, announcing himself at the door during the regular business meeting. In a bit of showmanship (and to hide his intent), he had all the past masters present come to the East and line up in order of seniority. He then thanked each man starting from the most junior and finally got to Clark exclaiming 'You're the last one standing, stay here because we have something for you..'. He then presented Clark with his diploma and thanked him for his years of service to the Masonic Fraternity.

Clark's son and grandson were in attendence, having known ahead of time of the presentation. Brian Paige expressed how proud everyone in the family was about the award. Wor. Clark then thanked the brethren assembled and was escorted once around the lodge to a standing ovation.
